If you’re a MAC user, you probably know that there is some argument over which computer is better-the PC (used to refer to anything other than a Mac) or the Mac. Is there really much of a difference between that Apple laptop and that desktop PC? Though both types of computers can get the job done, there is a difference–and it’s mostly in the operating systems of the two computers.
The operating system, which is what runs all the software through the computer, is the main difference between a PC and a Mac. Only a few years back the various operating systems presented a major problem. Many programs were not compatible across the platforms. But in recent years many programs have been rewritten to allow common applications like Excel, Internet Explorer and MSN Messenger, to be available on Macs and PCs. Remember, it’s what’s inside that counts; if you don’t like the aesthetics, you can always cover it with a laptop skin.
We all know that the addiction of smoking is tied to an addiction to nicotine, but the question is; how do you stop it? The truth is there’s no way to inhibit an addition to nicotine with will power alone. It’s a chemical reaction; your body and mind start to think you need nicotine just like you need oxygen, food, or water. Everyone needs help to stop smoking, but more than help, quitting requires commitment. It’s important to realize that you have an addiction, and then with the help of others, make a commitment to quit.
When quitting smoking, the first week is by far the hardest for people who have been addicted to nicotine for a long time. But with dedication and help from friends and family, you can survive that first week and be well on your way to recovery. If all else fails, look to stop smoking aids like nicotine gum or the eCig. Just remember to hang in there; that’s the most important!
